Science Academy uniform photoshoot

Science Academy uniform photoshoot

How do you take photographs of a school that doesn’t exist and a uniform that hasn’t been designed yet? Sounds impossible, but this is the second brief I’ve had like this, so I guess I’m now an old hand at making ties, badges, identity cards and school buildings appear from nowhere.

In the above picture you may be able to spot some of the following fake items:

  1. blazer badges (two)
  2. ties (three)
  3. blazer has been shrunk to fit its occupant (1)
  4. reflection has been altered (1)
  5. child added to picture (1)
  6. child removed from picture (1)
Normally, I don’t like to rely on Photoshop trickery to create the elements of the picture, preferring to get it right in camera. The time spent in post-production could have be spent on more honourable pursuits. The moral of this tale is, don’t always believe what you see because we have the power to manipulate you.
A special thank you and well done to all the models in this set as they were all perfectly professional and a credit to their school. One young lady was so natural in front of the lens, it wouldn’t surprise me if she were to go on to a career in modeling, I’ll leave you to decide.
